No More Cataracts

A global challenge

From Themoff, we developed and produced the documentary “No more cataracts - A global challenge” for the Elena Barraquer Foundation, an audiovisual project conceived as a tool for awareness, memory and visual activism in the face of preventable blindness due to cataracts. Starting from an original creative proposal, we proposed the concept that the fight against blindness is not only a medical mission, but a collective, human and global challenge. Based on this approach, we built a documentary script that led us to film in five countries —Mozambique, El Salvador, Argentina, Mauritania and Morocco— following the foundation team on their ophthalmological expeditions. Each location brought a different nuance: diverse cultural and healthcare contexts, powerful personal stories and logistical challenges that reflect the real magnitude of the problem. Themoff team led the entire process of conceptualization, narrative development, international production and filmmaking, and generated an audiovisual piece with an intimate, rigorous and deeply human tone. “No More Waterfalls” not only documents the work of the Elena Barraquer Foundation; it amplifies it, turns it into a story and projects it into the world with the ambition of inspiring action and commitment.
